5 Stars!

Steadfast Through Psalms offers a fresh perspective that has both challenged and deepened my walk with God. I’ve spent years praying, journaling, and reflecting on God’s Word, but there’s something uniquely powerful about Lauren Mitchell’s approach and follow-through.

I love how Lauren says from the beginning: “The trouble is most of us have significant knowledge, but we don’t put into practice what we know. Application is usually what we neglect.” Additionally, she says: “The rhythm is about being accountable for all our hours and bringing Jesus into them … Since God is our steadfast foundation, we can become steadfast in a world where things change every minute.”

Before diving into the core of the guide, this quote from Lauren is forever with me: “… we need to spiritually multitask by focusing our effort on spiritual things first and watching the trickle-down effect this has on temporal things. This shift in focus will take work, but everything does. It is work worth the effort. This time and focus will change not only your days on earth, but also your eternity. If that isn’t multitasking, I don’t know what is.”

Lauren’s six-week guide invites us into a richer, more intentional way of praying that is both personal and powerful. The way she guides us through the Psalms is unlike anything I’ve encountered before. She clearly demonstrates how to pray with the same raw passion and honesty that David did, yet with practical tools that make it accessible, even when life is busy.

Prayer is the foundation of a steadfast life, an ongoing rhythm that grounds us in God’s presence. With her guidance, we find ourselves praying with a deeper sense of purpose and peace. Morning and evening prayers, along with journaling prompts, have become natural parts of my day.

And let’s talk about praying Scripture—this has always been part of my routine, but Lauren has opened up new dimensions of it for me. I’ve always known that prayer connects us to God’s heart, but there’s something about praying the Psalms with intention and purpose that has brought a new sense of intimacy and strength.

I can confidently say that Steadfast Through Psalms is not just another prayer guide or devotional. It’s a tool that can reshape one’s perspective on prayer, helping cultivate a renewed sense of focus, peace, and faith.

For anyone looking for a guide to deepen their prayer life or bring fresh passion to their time with God, this book is an incredibly powerful and lasting resource. It’s one I’ll be coming back to again and again.
